Buy and sell Used Cooking Oil (UCO)

UCO is the workhorse of the European waste-based biofuel industry. Collectors, aggregators and refineries trade it daily — but finding a counterparty you can actually trust is the hard part. On this platform every UCO buyer and seller is KYC-verified, and you stay anonymous until you choose to deal.

What is Used Cooking Oil (UCO)?

  • Post-consumer cooking oil collected from restaurants, canteens, food factories and frying installations
  • The main feedstock for UCOME (waste-based biodiesel) and a premium input for HVO and HEFA-SAF production
  • Classified as a waste/residue under RED II/III — eligible for double counting in several EU member states, subject to national implementation
  • Traded in ISO tanks, flexitanks, IBCs and road tankers; typical parcel sizes from 20 mt to full vessel cargoes

Frequently asked questions

How do I sell my used cooking oil through the platform?

Register as a supplier and complete KYC — usually within 24-48 hours. Then post your UCO offer with volume, specification, location and availability. Buyers see your offer without seeing who you are; we broker the introduction only when both sides are interested.

What certifications do I need to trade UCO?

For RED-compliant end use, the chain needs ISCC EU or REDcert certification (self-declaration level may suffice for collectors, depending on the scheme), and German quantities must be registered in Nabisy. Non-certified material also trades, typically at a discount. Upload your certificates to your profile so buyers can verify instantly.

What does it cost to list UCO here?

Creating an account, completing KYC and posting offers or requests is free — there are no listing fees and no obligation. Commercial terms are agreed per deal.

Can I stay anonymous while testing the market?

Yes — that is the core of the model. Offers and requests are shown without your company name. Your identity is only released when you explicitly agree to an introduction.
