Buy and sell HVO renewable diesel
HVO (hydrogenated vegetable oil) is the drop-in renewable diesel behind the growth of premium fuels and the HEFA route to SAF. Demand from road, marine and aviation keeps tightening — verified access to waste-based Class 1 material is where the margin is.

What is HVO / Renewable Diesel?
- Paraffinic renewable diesel made by hydrotreating lipids, complying with EN 15940
- Sold as neat HVO100 or as blend component; no engine modifications needed
- Market classes (per price-agency methodology) reflect feedstock: Class 1 waste oils/fats, Class 2 lower-grade residues, Class 3 mixed/crop-based
- Also the intermediate step towards HEFA-SAF for aviation
Typical trading specifications
- Standard: EN 15940 (paraffinic diesel)
- Feedstock classes: Class 1 (waste/residue), Class 2, Class 3 — per market methodology
- Ceiling for cold flow: cloud/CFPP grades agreed per parcel and season
- Sustainability: ISCC EU / REDcert proof of sustainability, Nabisy where applicable
- Delivery: FOB/FCA/CIF; truck, rail, barge, vessel

Frequently asked questions
What do HVO Class 1, 2 and 3 mean?
Price agencies group HVO by feedstock. Class 1 is based on waste oils and fats (used cooking oil, animal fats), Class 2 on lower-grade residues and mixed origins, Class 3 on crop-based or unspecified material. Waste-based Class 1 commands the highest value because of RED waste/residue incentives. Always confirm the feedstock evidence per cargo.
Can HVO be used as a drop-in diesel?
Yes — HVO meets EN 15940 and works in any modern diesel engine, pure (HVO100) or blended. That drop-in character plus cold-flow performance is exactly why demand from fleets, marine and mining keeps growing.
How does HVO relate to SAF?
HEFA-SPK, the most mature SAF route, is made in the same hydrotreating process family as HVO, and many plants switch or split output between renewable diesel and SAF depending on economics. HVO feedstock access is therefore also SAF feedstock access.
Do you also trade HVO feedstock?
Yes — the platform lists the feedstocks behind HVO (UCO, tallow, acid oil, POME and more), each with its own market page. Producers source verified material; collectors and aggregators find direct off-takers.
